I learned how to use coils to make a Vessels.I'd like to think that I experienced a creative breakthrough. I was able to do the disign I wanted and I was able to get the glaze to do something that I thought was cool. An obsticale that I encountered was the coils ended up way too thin. When I would try to smooth out where I had scored and slipped, I was taking off clay with it. This was the most frustrating part of the project, how I fixed it was I started over and when it happened again I made slabs and placed on the project. I could have altered it but making it taller. I feel like its too short and that kid of bothers me. Also, its kind of lopsided. instead of trying to do a curvy. I didn't get my grading rubric back...

In this project I learned how to make a mug! Some new skills I learned was how to wrap a mug or something cylindrical with the clay. For this project I did already, well kind of, know what design I was going to make for my mug.  For the handle, I didn't want to have it look like the standard handle that is round.  I made my handle in three parts, to make it look a little boxy so to speak, but where the clay connected I added a little tip to them. The main issue I had with my mug was trying to get my handle to stay on my mug without falling apart. In fact, at one point I had to remake my handle because it kind of died when I tried to put it on the mug. To fix this, I had to add A LOT of clay where the handle met the mug and where the the tips of the handle are. Also, I added clay where it was cracking. I also had to slip and score the tips of the handle more than a few times to get it to stay put. I could have altered this by adding more to it. I could have glazed it better. I haven't gotten my grading rubric yet but I do believe that I could have done a lot better on the glaze. If I were to re- work this project I would take more time on the glaze. Over all, I like my mug.

My creative challenge was tying to find something different to do for each tile. I would often find my self making a tile that was similar to one I had already done. Some new things that I learned what how to put some of my ideas from my head onto clay. I really didn't experience any breakthroughs, because I tired to experiment what the tiles and try to learn to use the clay and such. I also learned that I make my objects in the moment so to speak. My only difficulties was mainly trying was trying to make each of them different, and I really don't know how I over came these difficulties. It could have been altered by maybe not doing as many tiles as we needed to do. One thing I could have done better is made my tiles look a little cleaner or neater. My grading rubric showed that. To help improve that, I probably could have taken more time too look and see if they were neat or not. The criteria from the rubric that I need to work on most is the craftsmanship of my work, and if I were to re-do my project I would put more time into my tiles.
